Magic Chef repair

Before you get a Magic Chef mend you may want to look into some troubleshooting yourself. If you are having problems with your refrigerator reconsider some of these:

The refrigerator has stopped

Listen to the side panel to see either you can hear a fan or a motor. If you can then it hasn't stopped, its just resting based on the thermostat control setting. Before you call an engineer for a Magic Chef Repair, adjust the thermostat lower and listen again for the motor. Another thing to check is the power socket. Plug some other appliance in and see if that powers up. If there is power to the appliance, and still it is not working, then you might have to get a Magic Chef Repair. The problems might be with the thermostat, compressor, and wiring, defrost timer and overload.

What if cooling is poor? A refrigerator that's working but not cooling very well may have problems with evaporator coils and the condenser. If this is the case you will probably have to get a Repair.

My Magic Chef works but it's noisy.

Listen to see either the noise is advent from inside, to the rear, or underneath. Self defrosting refrigerators have internal fans that can come to be noisy overtime. It will be critical to get a Magic Chef mend if this is the case because the evaporator fans motor can't be lubricated.

If the noise is advent from the rear then you may have problems with the compressor, the condenser fan motor or the defrost timer. If it's the compressor that's making the noise then you will have to replace it.

Sometimes there is a build up of debris on the condenser fan and it just needs a clean. If this doesn't do the trick then you will have to replace the motor.

Sometimes the galvanic motor inside the defrost timer becomes noisy and the timer must be replaced to solve the problem.
